Ways to Give
Make a Donation
A hundred years from now it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in or the kind of clothes I wore, but the world will be much different because I was important in the life of a child. -Author Unknown
At any given moment, hundreds of children and youth in our community are caught in the complex foster care system — and many feel alone in the process. Through no fault of their own, they face a constantly shifting world of temporary homes and intervening professionals. What happens next not only affects the course of their lives but the shape of our society. Since 1987, Alameda County Court Appointed Special Advocates (ACCASA) has provided comprehensive training and support for local volunteers to be the engaged advocate, compassionate mentor, and trusted adult in a child’s uncertain life. Your donation makes it possible, helping us recruit and train local CASAs, fund youth activities, learning tools, and stipends, and defray the cost of case management and administrative expenses.
ACCASA relies on sustaining support from individuals and organizations to ensure that no child in Alameda County stands alone.
All donations are tax-deductible 501(c)(3) Tax ID # 94-3309728, and you will receive a tax receipt in the mail. You can make a secure donation online. Simply click above on DONATE NOW.
Giving Options and Where to Give
Donations for Special Occasions
Please consider making a contribution to CASA for birthdays, proms, graduations, anniversaries and other holidays. Foster children often have challenges obtaining funding to cover these expenses, which includes prom dresses, suits, class rings, yearbooks, graduation pictures, etc. We would truly appreciate your support in helping them obtain these items so they can participate in these momentous occasions. Tax-Wise Giving and Planned Gifts
Although every gift to CASA is tax-deductible, there are several additional giving options that can increase your investment benefit. Donations of stock, property or appreciated assets, including CASA in your will or estate plan, and charitable income trusts are just a few methods of giving that can significantly increase your tax benefits. Creative giving methods also include automatic payroll or credit card deductions.
We have partnered with Car Donation Services to begin accepting donations of cars or other vehicles you may have that you’re looking to get rid of. By calling them at 1-888-6TO-GIVE or completing the online form at Car Donation Services website (there will be a “charity options” box that you should scroll through to select “CASA- Alameda County”) Proceeds from the sale of the car go to Alameda County CASA and will support the advocacy of our volunteers.
